SF Volleyball: Saints Remain Unbeaten

September 6, 2018

September 6, 2018 - Santa Fe College volleyball improved to 8-0 on the season with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-15 sweep of St. John's River. The Saints, ranked No. 2 in the latest FCSAA coaches' poll, were led by Sophomore outside hitter Leah Wilcox who had 19 kills on 38 attempts.

Middleburg freshman Kelley Catlett came in off the bench to add 7 kills and hit .333.

"Kelley was big time off the bench for us tonight," said Head Coach Nick Cheronis. "With back to back matches this week we had some fatigue, so Kelley's contribution was critical."

SF started the week in Tampa, picking up a win over Hillsborough Community College Tuesday before hosting St Johns River last night. The Saints return to action Saturday with a pair of games in front of their home crowd. They will face the College of Central Florida at noon, followed by a 4 p.m. tilt with Eastern Florida.
