Jenny Adler featured in the President's Hall Gallery though Oct. 30
October 9, 2014
This month, the President's Hall Gallery features the springs-based photography of Jenny Adler.
Adler, an Interdisciplinary Ecology Ph.D. student at the University of Florida says of her photography, "Through photographs, I hope to inspire in others a true appreciation for our beautiful, but fragile and endangered, aquatic ecosystems. Photography is an avenue for me to share both the magic and misery of Florida's springs, and it allows me to connect and communicate with people in ways that are not possible using science alone. I hope that the blend of science, storytelling, and photography in the 'Illusions' exhibit will help people better understand the spring ecosystems that are in desperate need of our help."
This thought-provoking exhibit runs through Oct. 30. There will be a small reception hosted by the artist on Friday, Oct. 10 from 6-8 p.m. in the exhibit space. The President's Hall is located on the second floor of Robertson Administration Building.
