SF BASEBALL

Gainesville, FL – The Seminole State Raiders exploded for five runs in the fifth inning on Saturday afternoon in route to an 8-5 win over the Santa Fe Saints, their second win in two days over SF.

Connor Rooney started on the hill for Santa Fe (11-9, 1-2 MFC) and took a no decision after tossing four innings, allowing two runs on five hits. Jeremy Graf took the loss after surrendering five runs in a third of an inning.

The Saints led 5-2 after four innings, led by a four run third inning, including a two run homerun from Jonathan Camp. The five run fifth for the Raiders, however, would prove to be the difference. They snatched a 7-5 lead and held the Saints scoreless over the final four innings.

Santa Fe had just five hits on the afternoon, a day after collecting four in Gainesville against Seminole State.

Jonathan Camp was 2-for-3 with a homerun and Brady Roberson was 2-for-5.

The Saints will look to get back in the win column when they travel to Lake Sumter State College on Monday, March 8 at 3:00 PM.
