Leesburg, FL – Santa Fe ace Kevin Martin (2-1) tossed a complete game on Monday afternoon against Lake Sumter State College, needing just 113 pitches.  He struck out nine, allowed five hits and walked two in route to his second win of the season.

Andrew Fears provided a majority of the Santa Fe offense, knocking in three of the four runs on 2-for-3 hitting.

The Saints (12-9, 2-2 MFC) struck first, plating two runs in the third inning on a Fears solo homerun and a RBI single by Colby Lusignan.  They added a run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Fears, scoring Roger Gonzalez who had doubled earlier in the inning.

The Lakers scored their lone run of the game in the bottom of the fourth and the Saints put an insurance run on the board in the eighth on an RBI single by Fears, scoring Jonathan Camp.

Casey Scoggins finished the game 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Roger Gonzalez was 2-for-5 with a run scored.
