Provost Ed Bonahue serves as chair for the Florida Council for Instructional Affairs

During his years at Santa Fe College, Ed Bonahue has served as co-chair of a SACS reaccreditation project, director of a U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant to globalize the arts and sciences curriculum, and director a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence program that led to a cooperative agreement between Santa Fe College and Beijing Union University.

He was author of the SACS self-study required to introduce bachelor's programs at SF and has led the college's Sustainability Council. In 2009, he visited Germany as a visiting Fulbright Scholar, studying the German system of higher education, transnational educational mobility, and opportunities for German-American academic cooperation and partnerships.

This year, Ed is serving as the chair for the Florida Council for Instructional Affairs, which is the statewide body of chief academic officers within the Florida College System. Additionally, he currently serves as SF's representative to the League for Innovation in the Community College. Lastly, within the last year, Ed has been invited to testify twice before committees of the Florida Legislature.

He has served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Santa Fe College since 2009.
