MBK presents guest lecture on hip-hop Feb. 20
February 19, 2014
Please join the My Brother's Keeper Program as we welcome Dr. Cyrus Williams and Benita Bannis from Regent University for an enriching conversation through the teachings of Hip Hop Therapy on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. in S326/327.
At this session we'll gain an understanding of the African American Male's college experience and pertinent multicultural issues. Looking through the lenses on Hip Hop we will explore issues that influence learning, communication and other unique factors that can yield successful intervention strategies for working with at risk minorities. This is a greatopportunity for faculty and staff to interactively devise strategies to improve relationships with our minority males within the classroom or office.
We hope to see you there!
