Santa Fe College HVAC Program shows off Daikin equipment Jan. 30

January 27, 2014

The Santa Fe College HVAC program will host an open house 11 a.m. -2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 in Building H, room 29 on the Northwest Campus. The community is invited to see the program's new Daikin AC equipment in action and meet Daikin representatives.

Recently, advanced Daikin air conditioning equipment was installed and is now operational in the HVAC program lab. This equipment is part of the first Daikin college partnership in the U.S and will allow SF students to be approved Daikin technicians when they graduate the HVAC Program.

Santa Fe College will serve as the Daikin North Florida training location, with recognized instructors offering the complete Daikin University Training Program.

"By partnering with the largest air conditioning manufacturer in the world, SF will be able to provide students with the training and experience required to lead the air conditioning industry into the next generation of energy saving and environmental protection," said Art Grant, HVAC Program Coordinator.

At the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to meet Kelly Mandrick, head of Daikin AC training for the United States, and Jeff Bledsoe, Daikin AC representative for training and customer service. Gainesville Mayor Ed Braddy and Alachua County Commissioner Lee Pinkoson will also be in attendance.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Art Grant at 352-395-5630, or Jane Parkin, Director of Construction and Technical Programs at 352-395-5363.
