Women's Basketball Knocks Off Hillsborough in Overtime, 72-69

SF WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tampa, FL – The Santa Fe Saints traveled to Hillsborough CC on Wednesday evening needing a win to get back to .500 in conference play, and they did just that, picking up a 72-69 overtime victory against the Hawks to move to 7-12 overall and 2-2 in MFC play.
The Saints trailed 38-32 at the half but fought back to take a late lead 62-60 with six seconds left to play. The Hawks sent the game to an extra frame with a buzzer beating putback.
SF answered the bell in overtime and outscored Hillsborough 10-7 over the final five minutes to pull out the win.
Stephanie Ball paced the Saints with 18 points and eight steals and Jaquasha Sesler pitched in 16 points and eight rebounds. Tori Baggett was also in double figures with 14 points, and Tatiana Manuel had eight points, 12 rebounds and four blocks.
Santa Fe will have a week off before returning to action on Wednesday, January 22 on the road against Florida State College-Jacksonville at 6:00 PM.
