SF MEN'S BASKETBALL

Santa Fe College sophomore Jon Hood couldn't miss in the first half on Saturday afternoon against the State College of Florida as he poured in 30 points, including 28 in the first half.  Hood was 10-for-12 in the first period with eight, three pointers.  The Manatees went with a box and one in the second half, holding him to just two points, but the damage had already been done.

The FCSAA #6 Saints (14-3) jumped out early on SCF and led 55-33 at halftime.  They played equally as solid defense in the second half, holding the Manatees to 33 points once again for the final 93-66 margin.

"We did a nice job on both ends of the court tonight," said SF Head Coach Chris Mowry.  "Obviously Jon really got us going on offense and it carried over to the defensive end where we kept them in check all game."

Joining Hood in double figures were Morris Marshall with 13 points and Andre Horne with 10.

Santa Fe will be back at home on Wednesday against TAAG Academy at 7 p.m.
