Veterans Overview

The staff at the Institute of Public Safety (IPS) encourages all returning veterans to consider enrolling in any IPS program. Most veterans have qualities and training that are exactly what the IPS is looking for in first responders, such as police officers, paramedics and firefighters. Military police officers very easily to civilian police departments, and combat medics undoubtedly make some of the very best paramedics. Best of all, your G.I. Bill 33 pays for everything from tuition and books to living expenses.

Santa Fe College also has a Veterans and Military Success Services (VMSS) office based on the Northwest Campus. VMSS is designed to support both student veterans and students who are dependents of veterans achieve their academic goals. SF was also named a Best for Vets and Military Friendly school.
