The College Achievement Program (CAP) is an integral part of student success at Santa Fe College. It is a six-week summer enrichment experience that is designed for diverse and underrepresented graduating high school seniors from Alachua and Bradford counties.
The Counseling Center provides short-term, solution-focused counseling to SF students free of charge, as well as crisis intervention, outreach and consultation. The Center is part of the Trauma Response Team at Santa Fe College which provides needed comfort to students, faculty, staff and families in times of crisis.
Students with disabilities and those with interests in disability can find support at the Disabilities Resource Center (DRC) Also, an affinity group within the general disability community is the Spectrum of Success (SOS) program for our students on the Spectrum. A part of our inclusion efforts at the college is Project SAINTS.
EGI’s goal is to foster and support educational outreach efforts and programs that will empower the residents of East Gainesville and the surrounding communities.
Educational Talent Search is a FREE, comprehensive program designed to help 9th through 12th grade students navigate their educational pathway. Through innovative programming, including virtual job shadowing, our students get an in-depth look at hundreds of career and college options.
Financial aid helps students and their families pay for college. This financial assistance helps cover educational expenses and related costs. There are several types of financial aid, including grants and scholarships, work study and loans.
Finish at the Top provides outreach to students who have not enrolled in classes for at least one year in order to assist them in the re-enrollment process so that they can successfully complete their degree.
The Displaced Homemaker Program: Focus on the Future offers empowerment and employment assistance to homemakers and community members who are unemployed or not adequately employed and who would have difficulty in securing adequate employment. The program offers FREE classes and workshops throughout the year.
Guitars, Rocketry, Robotics, Advanced Technological Education (GRRATE)
A grant program that offers entry-level, interactive, project-based STEM courses. GRRATE courses emphasize critical thinking, creativity, and access to lucrative STEM careers for all students.
International Student Services
International Student Services provide support to help international students get started, get adjusted, get involved, get their degree, and get on the road to fulfilling their dreams.

My Brother's Keeper (MBK) is a Santa Fe College support program designed to increase the retention and success of black males both academically and socially.
The Santa Fe College Chapter of the National Achiever Society [NAS] is under the auspices of the Florida Education Fund and has established itself as one of the Centers of Excellence’s premier programs. Formerly known as the McKnight Achievers, this college track program was established with the purpose of encouraging students in kindergarten through 12th grade [K-12] to excel both academically and culturally.
Navigating the College Experience
After reviewing institutional data and analyzing feedback from students, faculty, staff and community members, Santa Fe College has developed a plan that will change SF's learning environment to better prepare students to navigate college more efficiently and effectively. This quality enhancement plan will be implemented over a five-year period beginning in 2013 to strengthen advisement processes, student support systems, and communication.
The Ombudsperson offers a safe and confidential environment for students to discuss concerns, problems or complaints. As an advocate for fairness, the Ombudsperson serves as an independent and unbiased mediator as students resolve academic challenges.
Admissions and college life advising for high school students. We come to your school once a month during lunch period. Food is provided while we also host college students and pre-college advisors. We share activities and workshops that help you start preparing for success in college and in life.
Project SAINT is an official Florida Post-Secondary Comprehensive Transition Program (FPCTP), recognized by the Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities. SAINT students receive the part-time support of SF student mentors whether in classes, on internships or participating in campus activities.
Saints Share Wear is Santa Fe College's thrift shop for men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes and accessories. Proceeds from this project are used to offer scholarship opportunities for Career Service employees who are pursuing the opportunity of higher education, as well as many other Career Service Council initiatives.
Santa Fe College Foundation Scholarships
The Santa Fe College Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to students graduating from Alachua and Bradford counties and all other students entering Santa Fe College. Eligibility requirements vary depending on the degree program and the scholarships selected. Foundation scholarships are based on financial need, scholastic achievement, or special talent, depending on the specific scholarship criteria.
The SF2UF Bridge Program seeks to increase the number of minority and underrepresented SF students in the biomedical and behavioral sciences who go on to transfer to UF and graduate with bachelor's degrees in biomedical and behavioral science-related disciplines.
Student Life is committed to creating and supporting opportunities for involvement, leadership, and service on campus and in the community. Student Life also provides cap & gown assistance, calculator assistance, student IDs, free bus passes, and a student health care center.
Student Support Services is a federally-funded program that provides academic and related support. First generation college students, defined as students whose parents have not received a bachelor's degree, low income, and/or students who are disabled may be eligible for a variety of free educational services to ensure that the student's postsecondary experience is a successful one.
Santa Fe College partners with NelNet Business Solutions to offer students a tuition payment plan.
Upward Bound is a comprehensive program designed to assist potential first-generation college-going students prepare for college. Our mission is to help students achieve their individual educational goals of entering and completing the college pathway of their choice.
The VSOC Program serves as the on-campus face for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The program aims to help student Veterans and their qualified dependents succeed and thrive through a coordinated delivery of on-campus benefits assistance and counseling leading to completion of their education and preparing.
