Eligibility
Eligible Individuals
- Full-time employees are eligible for SF waivers, UF waivers and Professional Development Scholarship Reimbursement after the first date of employment and only during the time that they are actively employed.
- Part-time employees, who are not employed as student employees, are eligible for SF waivers
and UF waivers only during periods of time when they are actively employed and after
completing one full semester of employment.
- Part-time employees are only eligible for the UF/SF Employee Exchange Program (UF Waiver) and Santa Fe College waivers.
- Dependents and spouses of Full-time employees are eligible for SF waivers only during the time that the employee is actively
employed and eligible. They are also eligible for UF waivers subject to availability
after disbursement of employee requests. Dependency is defined as meeting the IRS
dependency criteria to be eligible to be claimed as a dependent on Federal Income
Tax Form 1040. Supporting documentation to validate spouse and dependent eligibility
is required initially and periodically thereafter.
- Dependents and spouses of Full-time employees are only eligible for the UF/SF Employee Exchange Program (UF Waiver) and Santa Fe College waivers.
Conditions
Subject to approval and availability.
- PDS Reimbursement coursework should be in pursuit of an academic degree at an upper level institution (i.e. bachelors, masters, or doctorate); which is an accredited college or university.
- Applications for tuition for work related graduate or undergraduate courses not leading to an academic degree will be given consideration by appropriate supervisor and vice president; however, priority will be given to degree-seeking students.
- The employee must receive a minimum final course grade of 2.5 on a 4.0 grade scale for each under- graduate course, a minimum final course grade of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 grade scale for each graduate or post-graduate course, or an S in a Pass/Fail class.
- Failure to achieve grades as referenced above will result in being placed on a probationary status for the next semester in which the employee/dependent re-applies.
- During the probationary semester grade requirements must be met or the employee will be ineligible for participation in the program for the next semester.
- An employee may be ineligible for the following semester if they do not meet the minimum grade and/or completion requirements.
- Continued eligibility is contingent upon approval of the PDSF Committee.
