CMS Migration
An improved experience is on its way!
Over the course of 2023, SF will be preparing for the transition from Percussion to Omni CMS by Modern Campus.
What is Omni CMS?
Omni CMS by Modern Campus is a low-code content management system (CMS) that allows for a real-time editing experience. This platform will provide an easy and intuitive experience for content editors and integrate key features that will improve web user experience.
Why the switch?
SF is continuously improving and optimizing the web experience for prospective and current students, and switching to Omni CMS is a part of ongoing improvements in web strategy.
How does this affect content edits to the website?
Non-Content Editors
SF staff members who do not currently have web content editing access are still encouraged to submit project requests to Marcom. Beginning in July 2023, any new requests for website redesigns or page additions will be reviewed, but will be evaluated after the migration takes place, in order to adhere to the migration timeline.
Current Content Editors
Current content editors can log in to make light content edits. Keep in mind there will be a period of time where all editing will be halted as the website undergoes the prep for content migration. This may take 4-8 weeks, so please plan accordingly. Urgent requests involving any critical information that students may need will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
New Content Editors
At this time, Marcom is not adding new users to the Percussion CMS. Once the migration is complete, there will be a training with Omni CMS that new content editors can complete. Note: new content editors must be approved by their respective supervisor before requesting editing permissions.
