Bicycle Registration
Overview
Bicycle registration is recommended by the Police Department. Registration serves several purposes:
- It's a deterrent to crime.
- It can aid in the identification of lost or stolen bicycles.
- It enables the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management to plan more accurately for improved bicycle parking and bicycle safety around the Santa Fe College campus.
How to register a bike
Bicycle registration at SF is cost-free and easy. Fill out the information on the form here. Once we receive your information, you may pick it up at the Police Department during normal business hours Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30pm
Affix the registration sticker to the bike's frame on the front of the upright frame bar supporting the seat.
The registration lasts for four years and stickers are non-transferable. A new bicycle requires new registration. The purchase of an already registered bike also requires re-registration under the new owner's name.
